A new food takeaway/delivery business based in Rathkenny, Northern Ireland

How it started

Background

The client, The Millside Kitchen was opening up another branch to their pre-existing brand. Their current premises located in Cloughmills, Northern Ireland remained operational as their new premises based in Rathkenny, Northern Ireland launched.

The client was short of time and very busy organising the new premises for launch but wanted to ensure that people knew about the new takeway, to create excitement surrounding the launch so that the phones were ringing as soon as they opened.

They reached out to us for help and we set out to give their social media pages a makeover, create and implement a social media strategy and out perform our clients expectations without using any ad spend.

What we offered

Recommendations

Based on the client’s requirements, we recommended the following:
1.
Social media overhaul on Facebook and Instagram. New profile picture, new cover photo, page templates updated, & update the ‘about’ sections.
2.
To post on both platforms 3/4 times a week and utilise Facebook & Instagram stories for updates and small, fun and entertaining posts.
3.
To run a competition leading up to launch day to provide that drive in engagement and brand awareness that was essential to meet the agreed KPI’s.

What we did

Approach

Having only been given the project 9 days before launch, we had a very tight timescale to pull a plan together and implement our strategy.
1.

Competitor research

First, we looked at what competitors there were in the local area, what they were doing on social media and what was appealing to their target audience.
2.

Create the strategy

With enough information gathered coupled with our knack for creative copy/imagery, advertisting best practices and experience we put together a plan on how to get the most out of their social media for the next month.
3.

Implement

We’ve created the plan, then it was time to hand it over to our budding creatives to do what they do best. Create, design and schedule the posts utilising both, the newsfeed and stories.

How it looked

Copy & design

Simple but effective. We were provided with pictures of some of the takeaway options; We resized them, touched up certain areas and added simple but clear branding on to each. This allowed any potential customers to see exactly what each item was and made the ordering/thought process as easy as possible. Going by the engagement and post reach, It worked perfectly, check them out for yourself below.
As part of their social media package, we also designed a new cover photo to advertise their new app that also contains information that'll help reduce the amount of messages thier pages recieve. This image has been optimised for both desktop and mobile viewing in mind and will rescale perfectly on both.
